The Georgia College Men’s Basketball Team is set to host two sessions of team camps this June. The first one will be held from the 6th through the 8th with the second one to be held from the 13th through the 15th.

This camp is put together every year by the GC Men’s Basketball Team for boys’ basketball teams to get exposure and to play other teams. The camp can be an overnight experience for the boys, or they can commute. Depending on the number of teams that signup they are divided into three divisions. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of eight games.

If the teams chose the overnight option they will stay in the dorms and eat meals at the Maxwell Student Union (the Max), the dining hall on campus. The residence halls they will stay in are walking distance from the Centennial Center, where the camp activities including games will be held, and the Max.

There are three courts inside the Centennial Center where the games will be played. The boys will also have access to the GC Athletics athletic training room and trainer during the duration of the camp.

The cost for teams deciding to stay overnight is $210 per player and includes one coach. An additional coach can be added for $115. This includes meals. Commuting teams will pay $599 this does not include housing or meals. All of the players and coaches in attendance will get a souvenir GC camp shirt.

Day one of the camp, Monday, is when the teams check in and register this begins at 10 a.m. After check-in, there is the coaches’ meeting followed by the first games of the camp. On day one the camp will provide dinner at the Max. Day two of the camp starts with breakfast then they go to the Centennial Center to start the first games of the day. There will then be a break for lunch then games will resume. Once the final games of the day are played the teams get dinner and retire to their residence halls. The final day of the camp consists of breakfast and check-out.

Souvenirs and concessions will be available at the Centennial Center throughout the duration of the camp.

Current GC assistant coach Ryan Aquino is in charge of the camp and is the contact for questions of registration. There are forms and waivers that will need to be filled out prior to registration. The link for registration is found below.
