Survivors include his wife, Kim Register Shipes; mother, Judy Hughes Shipes; daughters, Randi Stribling (Lance), and Raegan Renfroe (Adam Riley); brother, Daniel Shipes (Robyn); niece, Julia Shipes; nephew, Jackson Shipes; uncles, Harry Hughes (Ann), and Curtis Hughes; grandchildren, Whip Whipple, and Lyla Stribling; and many cousins.
